Rav Kav Reform

Since last Friday, it was no longer possible to load the Rav Kav cards on Dan buses. However, users reported that the charging applications does not work properly.

The rationale behind the idea is to allow the driver to concentrate on the journey and prevent him from dealing with money - which is likely to cause delays. This practice exists in many countries in Europe and the United States, and in order for it to succeed, a clear condition must exist - plenty of means are accessible to bus passengers - if not at the station itself, or at around it.

It should be noted that a casual passenger can purchase a ticket on a bus, but he will pay a double price (from NIS 5.90), since he is also purchasing a plastic recharge card. On January 18, the rest of the public transportation companies in the Dan region (Egged, for example) will also join. The options for loading passengers include several channels: multi-line online, a multi-line application, and charging stations scattered in kiosks, pharm chains and more.

Complaints raised related to difficulties in loading. Thus, among other things, it appears that iPhone holders cannot even load their multi-line through the application directly from the mobile device, charging is possible only on Android devices with NFC technology. Another claim voiced by passengers on public transportation is that they are directed to use a "hop-on" application that allows for public transit payments, but they have encountered an error message. The argument via a computer, the surfers claimed, is possible only in the "old-fashioned way" used by a card reader, rather than by entering a multi-line card number, for example.

Many complaints concern the lines that linger in the loading positions. One of the complaints relates to a 30-minute wait at the Ibn Gvirol position. Another complaint relates to queues at the station to issue a ticket at the central bus station. "I came to take out a card for my daughter after she lost her job, and the positions are filled with desperate people who are now putting out a line for the first time and do not know how to get it because they do not have a credit card.

In other words, there's a clear need for Georgy to be a single payment platform for all transportation services.  We will create a seamless payment experience in the multi-model world that will fix the current issues and will create a new world in which public and shared transportation will be accessible and adapted for all people.
